The tiles were in very good condition and were original from when this house was built in Coatbridge (about 15 years ago). The grout was tired and stained/moldy. No household cleaner was doing any good with regards to cleaning the grout.
With our Alkaline cleaner, mold treatment and acid rinse we successfully cleaned the grout and then repaired a corner where the grout had come loose and risked water ingress.
Once the grout was dry it was recoloured with a brilliant white epoxy colourant. This brings the grout back to looking new while also acting as a sealer which helps maintain the grouts appearance.
Silicone sealant around the bath and shower wall edges had black spots and was uneven. It needed removed and reapplied. This always sets off the look of the bath again along with the impact of the newly coloured grout lines.
Maintaining your new grout and silicone is simple. Rinse your tiles after a shower and dry them. Cleaning should be with a neutral ph cleaner which is a low cost cleaning solution which ckleans soiling but doesn’t affect the sealers or silicone sealant.
