The customers in Bothwell had recently moved into a new home with light grey ceramic tiles covering the kitchen, dining area, and lounge floors. While the tiles were mostly in good condition and the customers wanted to keep them, the grout was problematic. The grout it was damaged, missing, and discolored throughout the rooms.
To address this issue, the floor was thoroughly cleaned using a 5:1 ratio of water to Tile Doctors Pro-Clean, scrubbing with a bristle brush to remove surface soiling. The grout was cleaned separately with a grout brush, then the floor was rinsed with clean, cold water and left to dry.
Once the cleaning was complete, the damaged grout was removed and repaired using a light grey flexible grout, carefully matching the desired recoloring in small sections to prevent the solution from drying on the tile surfaces and causing staining or damage.
The recolored grout gave the entire floor a lighter, refreshed appearance – a cost-effective way to renew the space. The customers were very pleased with the end result, as evident in the before and after photos showing the repaired tile at the doorway, regrouted floor, and the difference between the recolored grout and old grout in the lounge.
